Inter Miami will have a new head coach heading into Matchday 8 of the 2026 Major League Soccer campaign, as the club confirmed that Guillermo Hoyos will replace Javier Mascherano, who announced his departure four months after winning the league title.
Hoyos was actually the Herons’ sporting director, and he becomes the interim head coach while the team searches for a long-term replacement. His first test will be against the Colorado Rapids tomorrow at the Empower Field at Mile High, as Inter Miami are gunning for their fourth win of the season.
